Sandwich Plate:

The Sandwich Pate allows 2 soft Metals to meet without negative impact. An example is the soft Cast Iron Engine Block and the Alloy Bellhousing.

Manual and Automatic:

The Sandwich Plate is the same on all Manual or Automatic red, blue and black Six Cylinder Engines .

Install the Flex Plate before fitting the Flywheel or Flex Plate.

A thin sheet of Metal called the Sandwich Plate exists between the Engine and the Bellhousing as shown in this image. Photo by Davequey. Click to Enlargen.
