Clutch Replacement:

It's always a good idea to check some things out before you do a Clutch replacement. Some jobs are easier to do while the Gearboxis off the car and  it's better to do them while things are apart than to have to go back in and take things apart at a later stage.

The state of the Starter Ring Gear is a good example. If it's showing signs of tooth wear replacing the Flywheel during a clutch replacement will save you money and down time in the long run.

Mainshaft:

It's possible for the Splines on the Mainshaft to be damaged. If that's the case the Mainshaft will have to be replaced or the Clutch Plate will jam.
