CV Joints:

Operation:

A Constant Velocity allows 2 drive shafts to connect at an angle and rotate at the same speed without the periodic increase and decrease in speed that occurs when a Universal Joint is used. This occurs irrespective of the angle between the 2 shafts. It does this by keeping the plane of contact constant. For further info, see the Buick - Drive Axles Constant Velocity Joints 1988 link below.

Rzeppa:

Alfred H Rzeppa is the inventor of the CV Joint.
