3.3 Red:

The last 202's had 3.3 cast into the Block but were essentially 202's (9 Port Head, 3 Balance weight Crankshaft).A red 3.3 has only 2 Holes cast into the Block for the Alternator Mount. 

3.3 Litre Six:


202 Cubic inches displacement (3300 cc's), 6 cylinders.
Bore 3.625"
Stroke 3.250"Red 3.3 engines first appeared in UC Toranas, HZ Kingswoods and Premiers. They also appeared in VB Commodores.
Blue 3.3 engines first appeared in VC Commodores and WB Utes, Vans and One Tonners.

The blue engine is the improved performance version of the red 202 and uses the same bore and stroke
but it has double valve springs, a dual throat carburettor, HEI, a heavier duty crankshaft and a 12 port head among other features.Black Engines first appeared in VK Commodores. They have improved Cylinder heads and the EFI VK Engine has improved coolant and oil flow as well as tougher pistons.
