[edit] 149 Motor:
149 Cubic Inches Displacement, 6 cylinders.
Bore 3.250"
All the red sixes have the same 3.00" stroke except the 201, 202 and 3.3 which have a 3.25" stroke.
Blue and black 3.3's also have a 3.25" stroke.
These engines were fitted to EH Holdens, then HD Holdens. The cars carried no external engine identification badge when this engine was fitted.
They used the adjustable hydraulic lifter valve gear that was used in 186 engines.
138 red, 149, 161, 173, 179, 161 and 186 Engines have Main Bearing journals the same size.
