138 Cubic Inches Displacement
These engines were fitted to LC & LJ Toranas. The car carried a 2250 badge, referring to the 2262cc capacity.

Early LC ones used adjustable rocker gear the same as 161 engines optionally fitted.
LJ examples used the non-adjustable hydraulic lifter valve gear that was used in 202 engines.
Bore 3.125"
Russell Payne's Shed
All the red sixes have the same 3.00" stroke except the 201, 202 and 3.3 which have a 3.25" stroke.

Blue and black 3.3's also have a 3.25" stroke. 

 

138 red, 149, 161, 173, 179, 161 and 186 Engines have Main Bearing journals the same size.
